Flora Pettit Elects Scott M. Raney as New Shareholder
Flora Pettit proudly announces that Scott M. Raney was elected a shareholder of the firm effective January 1, 2022.
Scott concentrates his practice on commercial real estate, finance and development. He represents developers, contractors, builders, business owners, lenders, borrowers, landlords, and tenants providing effective and efficient representation in connection with a broad range of transactions and issues. He was a member of the Charlottesville Regional Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Class of 2019 and has gone on to become Vice Chairperson of Leadership Charlottesville’s Alumni Association.
A native of Virginia Beach and a proud graduate of Hampden-Sydney College, Scott worked in Charlottesville before deciding to attend law school in Louisiana. After receiving his J.D. cum laude from the Paul H. Herbert Law Center at Louisiana State University, Scott practiced law in Baton Rouge and New Orleans before returning to Charlottesville. Scott and his wife, Liz, have three sons, Scotty, Wyn and Wells.
